Tubular Steel Buildings
Tubular steel buildings refer to structures built using hollow steel tubes (typically square and rectangular) as the primary framing system instead of traditional open-web or I-beam steel members. Tubular steel members (HSS) are structurally efficient because their closed shape distributes material evenly, providing balanced strength in all directions. They offer excellent resistance to torsion due to continuous shear flow around the section, strong compression performance with improved buckling resistance, and effective bending capacity because material is positioned away from the center, increasing stiffness Tubular steel (HSS) is a strong and efficient option for structural systems, offering balanced strength in all directions along with excellent resistance to torsion, compression, and bending. Its closed shape improves stiffness and buckling performance, making it a reliable choice for columns, frames, and bracing in a wide range of building applications.Material: Hollow Structural Sections (HSS), square or rectangular tubular steel members offering balanced strength and durability, 14ga galvanized. Swaged connections.
Application: Ideal for light commercial buildings, agricultural structures, warehouses, garages, carports, and small industrial facilities.
Concrete slab: Tubular structures can be anchored to a foundation of prepared ground, gravel, asphalt, or concrete. While we do recommend being anchored in concrete.
Cost: Typically, cost-effective for small to mid-span buildings; efficient material use can reduce overall steel tonnage and foundation costs. Fabrication is streamlined and lightweight members reduce transport and installation costs.
Quality & Performance: Factory-fabricated components provide consistent dimensions, clean appearance, and strong resistance to torsion, compression, and bending.
Installation: Generally straightforward and efficient to erect; lighter members can simplify handling and reduce on-site labor time. No heavy equipment or cranes required. It is simple installation that any layman can install using at home tools and equipment
Span Capabilities: Clear spans up to 60 ft
